Happy Birthday A&AA! A&AA was founded in 1914 with the visionary leadership of UO president Prince Lucien Campbell and the founding dean, Ellis F. Lawrence, who set the stage for a dynamic, creative, innovative, and highly regarded educational institution.

During Homecoming, the school will launch its anniversary year with an open house for you to visit studios, see exhibitions at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, celebrate with a birthday cake, and be a part of an all–A&AA group photo shoot of the school’s faculty, staff, students and visiting alumni. Be there and capture the moment!

Special weekend hours: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday

The second year Master of Fine Arts exhibition is a chance for the "middle children" of the three year Master of Fine Arts program at the University of Oregon to share their new work completed over summer break. After processing feedback from a variety of sources following the completion of their first year as graduate students, the work showcased will be a continuation of their own personal interests and themes, explored to a greater depth and visually more refined as they start the process of moving forward towards proposing their thesis. The show consists of seven artists and will be comprised of a variety of media such as sculpture, installation, mixed media, video art, photography, fibers, drawing, and painting.

Participating artists are:
Anya Dikareva
Summer Gray
Krista Heinitz
Steven Joshlin
Daniel Lopez
Sarah Mikenis
Rachel Widomski

Check out the 100 Alumni Stories

The school is proud of the many achievements and contributions of its alumni worldwide. To commemorate our centennial, we have collected 100 Stories about alumni from all the decades and posted them online.  Each story is unique and demonstrates the important contributions of alumni who work with our built and natural environments, the arts and culture, and in public leadership and service. These stories are snapshots of careers and projects that have occurred during the time of our writing.

Read, marvel, and enjoy, then tell your story online.
