Landscape Architecture

A&AA Commencement 2010

Join us for the 2010 A&AA Commencement Ceremony and the Presentation of the Ellis F. Lawrence Award on Monday, June 14, 2010.  The A&AA ceremony will occur on the southeast lawn of the EMU at 3:00 pm. The site is easily accessible by car from 15th Street. We expect upwards of 2000 guests and usually have about 1500 seats available. Tickets are not needed for the ceremony. There is a ceremony on the EMU East Lawn prior to ours, please do not arrive earlier than 2:00 pm for seating.

Architecture school welcomes back Northwest design pioneer Johnpaul Jones

Architect Johnpaul Jones’s holistic design approach evolved from his integrated education at the University of Oregon during the 1960s, which exposed him to landscape design and planning. But his projects are also an extension of his American Indian heritage, as they address the land, the animal world and human culture all at once. Jones was one of the lead designers on the National Museum of the American Indian, which opened in 2004.
