Design Library: College of Design

The Design Library is the College of Design's major center for art and architectural information and is one of the best in the Pacific Northwest. The library features a bevy of unique, sunlit spaces and provides seating arrangements that create a welcoming environment for its users and a diverse and expansive collection of resources for any interested in design and its associated disciplines. It is located on multiple floors of Lawrence Hall, with a main entrance on the second floor near room 206. Even though the library is housed in the College of Design, it is an official UO Library and open to all UO affiliates. 

The Design Library's collection includes: 

  • Over 86,000 bound volumes 
  • Over 2,500 periodicals 
  • Strength and expertise in design disciplines  
  • Even more volumes available online as ebooks and digital articles 
  • Get to know and view our rare and special collections

The Design Library's physical spaces include:

  • Places for individual study
  • Places for group collaboration
  • Areas where one can view rare books and special collections
