Metropolis Magazine Spotlights College of Design's Transpecies Design Exhibit at the 2023 ECC Biennale

Dean Adrian Parr had the opportunity to talk with Metropolis Magazine about transpecies design, the European Cultural Center Architecture Biennale, and the University of Oregon's impact and potential leadership in an uncertain climate future. LaVerne Krause Gallery Hosts "Ghost Forest" Exhibition Until May 4

Sponsored by the Center for the Study of Women in Society as part of its 50th anniversary and the UO’s Environment Initiative, “Ghost Forest" will run from April 24-May 4 in the LaVerne Krauss Gallery in Lawrence Hall. Eugene artist Sarah Grew teams up with sound artist Jon Bellona, a senior instructor at the UO’s School of Music and Dance who teaches audio production, for this latest exhibition about wildfires.

Tannaz Farsi Selected for UO Presidential Fellowship Award

Farsi was one of two faculty recognized and awarded the Presidential Fellowship in Art and Humanities. She was recognized for her work on a project called Intermediaries, which the selection committee described as “rich” and “gripping.” The committee was struck by the sheer beauty of Farsi’s work and felt the proposed project would have great value to a broad audience. Farsi says the fellowship provides a thrilling opportunity at a critical time as it coincides with her upcoming sabbatical.

Parasol Foundation Women in Photography Project Acquires New A+D Assistant Professor's Work

New School of Art + Design Assistant Professor in Photography, Tarrah Krajnak, will see their cyanotypes from their performance, 1979: Contact Negative, form the first Parasol Foundation Women in Photography acquisition at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Their work will be on display at the start of 2023.
