A+D Returns to JSMA for MFA Exhibition

Photo of the 2023 MFA exhibition The culmination of five students' hard work is on display at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMA) through June, courtesy of the School of Art + Design Department of Art’s Master of Fine Arts (MFA) students. Three years of independent research and experimentation went into the work produced for this year's MFA Art Exhibition and the department is celebrating these MFA graduates' efforts in the high standard of the museum setting. This year's artist cohort consists of Lily Wai Brennan, Mary Evans, Anastasiya Gutnik, David Peña, and William Zeng.  The group worked at a high level throughout their educational journey to integrate various practices and engage a broad range of inquiry.

In addition, this year marks the one-hundred-year anniversary of the university's MFA in Art degree, making it one of the oldest programs in the country. As a part of the celebration of the program's centennial, the MFA exhibition makes its return to the JSMA, giving the UO and Eugene community access to the beautiful work created by the MFA cohort. The exhibition runs until June 20 and is located in the JSMA at 1430 Johnson Lane, Eugene, OR, 97403.
