Dezeen had the opportunity to spotlight the 2023 European Cultural Center Architecture Biennale. Within their spotlight is included a brief look at the transpecies design exhibit by the University of Oregon's College of Design. The college has been an impactful leader in the space of environmental design for over 100 years and is positioning itself as a potential leader for the world of education in the face of an uncertain climate future. Also on show is Transpecies Design by Adrian Parr at the University of Oregon, which is described as an investigation into "an other-than-anthropocentric approach to regenerating, restoring, reinvigorating and replenishing the natural environment".
Rather than focusing the design goal on the human experience, Parr's project takes into account the relationship between plants, humans and animals when establishing the end design goal.
